Gopher O-Lineman Lands Canadien Football Job

The Minnesota Gophers have consistently had players reach the professional ranks after spending time on P.J. Fleck’s team. Last spring’s Pro Day alone showed off quite a few capable talents for the next level.
Not everyone got picked, but there were undrafted opportunities out there too. Max Brosmer was talked up during training camp, and he made multiple appearances for the Minnesota Vikings.
Unfortunately, Quinn Carroll didn’t find NFL work at all this season. The offensive lineman won’t remain jobless in 2026 however.

After starting his collegiate career with Notre Dame, Quinn Carroll transferred to the Minnesota Gophers. He spent three years starting on P.J. Fleck’s offensive line, and now has his first professional job. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadien Football League announced his signing on Thursday.

Carroll is a native of Edina, Minnesota and started 38 games for the Gophers over the course of three seasons. He has the ability to play both tackle spots, as well as the guard position.
Each of Carroll’s seasons at Minnesota saw him pick up All-Big Ten Honorable Mention selections. At 6’6″ and 315 pounds, Carroll has the size to be a difference maker up front on the professional level.
The Tiger Cats kick off their regular season on June 4 against Montreal. The ten game campaign runs up until October 24 with the playoffs thereafter.
