Gophers Freshman Wide Receiver Dallas Sims Entering Transfer Portal
The Minnesota Gophers have had a lot of success in the transfer portal in recent weeks but they lost a wide receiver to it on Tuesday. Former Clearwater, FL 3-star Dallas Sims made his announcement via Twitter, thanking the University of Minnesota for the four months that he spent in Dinkytown.

I want to start off by thanking coach Simon and the University of Minnesota coaching/academic staff for giving me the opportunity to be a part of Gopher Nation. After talking with my family, I would like to announce I am entering my name in the transfer portal with all years of eligibility remaining.

Sims tagged his former high school football coaches so those mentions aren’t a giveaway as to where he is going but Dallas chose the Minnesota Gophers over other options like Purdue, Iowa State and Indiana. We don’t know exactly why he entered the transfer portal but the Gophers are very deep at that position.
