The Minnesota Gophers offseason rollercoaster continues to roll along, something I’m sure most college football programs would say about their own offseasons too, in the year 2023. There are ups and there are downs. Some extreme, others not so much.

2024 LB Brady Pretzlaff Decommits from Minnesota Gophers

Brady Pretzlaff, a 2024 Gopher linebacker commit from Gaylord, MI, visited Michigan State over the weekend, before announcing on Twitter that his recruiting is open once again. It’s the 2nd big time defensive commitment Fleck has lost in the past few days.

Brady originally committed to Minnesota under defensive coordinator Joe Rossi, who took the MSU DC job over the weekend. Once Rossi made the move to East Lansing, Fleck and his staff had to of known that keeping Pretzlaff committed would be nearly impossible.

Is he going to Michigan State?

Pretzlaff — a 3-star prospect according to 247Sports — wasn’t the top-rated recruit in Minnesota’s 2024 class but he was in the top six or seven, depending on the rating system you are using.

Obviously, Michigan State is one of the interested teams who have offered. Prior to committing to Minnesota, Brady held offers from Illinois and Stanford too.
