Gopher Football gets Re-commitment and De-commitment in Last 24 Hours

Yesterday, Gopher Football get a big commitment from MJ Anderson, a defensive end out of Missouri.

It’s not the first time MJ has committed here. I made this graphic for his commitment back in August and I’m not making another one. But, I’m glad he’s back in the boat.

As for the “de-commitment. TJ Robinson posted this on Twitter this morning:

Now, I put “de-committed” in quotes because this wasn’t really Robinson’s choice, from what I’ve read at GopherIllustrated.com from insider, Ryan Burns. According to Burns, Robinson was told to look elsewhere after struggling to get his grades up this year. His grades seem to have been an issue last year too and haven’t gotten any better apparently. He’s currently being recruited heavily by Rutgers.

The Gophers have also moved on from defensive line commit, Chris Daniels, who wasn’t invited to last weekend’s #TwinCitiesTakeover. They haven’t spoken in weeks and their itch to get a defensive lineman out of the visit showed where their heart was. It paid off when Rashad Cheney committed during the visit.

Stay tuned for more news on Gopher Football as we are quickly approaching early-signing day on December 19th!
