The Vikings are apparently just as worried about the kicker situation as the rest of us, and are taking action. They have just traded a 5th round pick in next year’s draft to the Ravens for their BACKUP KICKER, Kaare Vedvik, but apparently he can punt too?… my head is spinning.

That’s right, not only have the Vikings now spent all sorts of draft picks on kickers, punters, and long snappers… but also now hold the record for highest draft pick ever TRADED in exchange for a kicker.

If you are setting those types of kicker trade precedents, then you aren’t inserting said kicker into a position battle. This must mean that Bailey is gone and becomes the latest failed kicking experiment in Minnesota. This whole thing is sadly laughable at this point…

Does Vedvik know what he is getting himself into? The ability to punt and kick field goals is intriguing and certainly valuable… but shouldn’t we worry about one thing at a time when it comes to foots impacting footballs at this point?

I’m so glad football is back…
