Vikings Release Cameron Dantzler

The Minnesota Vikings have released Cameron Dantzler from the roster, leading up to the final season of his rookie contract. The move saves the team $2.7 million against the 2023-24 salary cap (according to Spotrac) and sends the 24-year-old Mississippi State alum to free agency.

The Vikings have been busy today, saying goodbye to Adam Thielen and re-doing the contract of Ross Blacklock. Meanwhile, reports have been going back and forth on what’s in Harrison Smith’s future. Kwesi still needs to cut $6.7 million out of their 2023-24 salary cap picture (according to OverTheCap) before March 15 when the new league year begins.

One thing is certain, the 2023-24 Minnesota Vikings are going to look a lot different than what they have for the past handful of seasons.
