Those present and accounted for include superstar wide receivers, Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings) and Tyreek Hill (Miami Dolphins).

Now 30 years old, many around the league and some inside his own circle wonder if Tyreek Hill is past his prime. This, after the 5x All-Pro and 8x Pro Bowler managed just 959 receiving yards on 81 receptions in 17 games played last season.

Leading up to last season, Hill was still widely considered as one of the best wide receivers in the league. In 2023, he lead the NFL in receiving yards, with 1,799. Between 2022 and 2023, Hill accumulated 3,509 yards and 20 touchdowns on 238 receptions.

But entering 2025, even Tyreek Hill’s most staunch supporters are starting to question his place among top wide receivers. According to the former 5th round pick, his own kids no longer think he can hang with the best of the best, specifically Minnesota Vikings superstar, Justin Jefferson.

Tyreek Hill’s kids are telling friends that MN Vikings WR Justin Jefferson is their real dad

On Tuesday, Hill spoke with reporters down in South Beach (video and full transcription below), where he made some crazy confessions at the press conference podium, telling gathered media that his own kids are Jefferson fanatics.

But from there, Tyreek Hill’s claims got even more wild. Apparently one of Tyreek’s young sons was recently asked by a friend at school if his dad was indeed Tyreek Hill. Instead of proudly confirming his new friend’s suspicions, he lied and told the kid that his dad is actually Justin Jefferson.

“My sons, they be in my head. They be like, ‘dad, Justin Jefferson, dawg’. My kids are like Justin Jefferson fanatics. They really enjoy Justin Jefferson a lot.

I was talking to my son on facetime last night, and his mom told me, she was like, ‘yeah [someone else’s kid] came up to [your son] the other day and was like, ‘hey, you Tyreek Hill’s son’ and he was like, ‘nah, Justin Jefferson my dad’.

So I got him on facetime and I’m like, ‘so ahh, Justin Jefferson is your dad?’ He was like, ‘no dad’. And I was like, ‘then Justin Jefferson can take your [ass] to Disney World then’.”

Of course, who can blame Hill’s kids for loving Justin Jefferson. I mean, who doesn’t? Jettas has blown up the NFL record books with the smouldering hot start to his NFL career. Through his first five seasons, Justin has piled up 495 receptions for 7,432 yards and 40 touchdown.

Tyreek Hill fighting father time… and EXTREMELY high family expectations

His absurd play on the football field, combined with the “Griddy” dance celebration he single-handedly made into a massive viral hit, has made him one of the most popular players, not just in football, but in all of sports and beyond.

While Tyreek Hill would go on to say that he and his sons enjoy their friendly competitive banter back and forth, and that it’s all just fun and games, Hill also followed that up with more insight into how being a superhero in the eyes of his kids is a large part of what motivates him.

And while there is little doubt that the rivalry Hill’s sons have created between him and Justin Jefferson is nothing but love, there appears to be even less doubt that these things have impacted the way he’s prepared for the upcoming NFL season, which will be Tyreeks’ 10th in the NFL.

“Yeah man, just small reminders like that from my kids always keep me always wanting to achieve more and continue to get better. At the end of the day man, my family, my kids, we play jokes with each other, man.

I know it’s in the spirit of just playing jokes and having fun. [But] that’s what keeps me hungry man. Just continuing to stay at the top and continuing to be a leader in my household, for my kids…”

Of course, I can’t write an entire Tyreek Hill family fun article without mentioning how proficient the stud wide receiver is at making children, which is nearly as impressive as his ability to catch footballs. In total, Hill has seven kids, as of this spring. For him, that might as well be an eternity.

Tyreek Hill Weighs in on Cooper DeJean Invalid Fair Catch vs Minnesota https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/gophers-football/tyreek-hill-weighs-in-on-cooper-dejean-invalid-fair-catch-vs-minnesota/ Sat, 28 Oct 2023 02:39:12 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=44629 The Minnesota Gophers defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes last weekend at Kinnick Stadium, for the first time since 1999, but all the college football world wants to talk about is the punt return by Cooper DeJean that never happened.

Especially Hawkeye fans, whose delusion has reached levels of such insanity that they literally refuse to accept or understand the difference between an invalid and valid fair catch. But one of football’s most electric talents has weighed in on the topic and, surprise, he confirmed the obvious.

Cooper DeJean called “PETER” and waved off the 4th quarter noncontroversial punt last weekend and, by rule, the ball was immediately dead when he touched it.

Time to move on…

You’d think Hill’s words of wisdom on this topic would convince Invalid Punt Return deniers of what most of us already know. Referees in the Iowa vs Minnesota game made the correct call on Saturday, for once.

PJ Fleck’s Gophers, whether the Iowa fanbase can do the same or not, must turn the page on what happened last weekend and focus on a contest this weekend vs the Michigan State Spartans that is of equal importance.

Tyreek Hill Can’t Hold Randy Moss’ Jock and the Internet Knows It https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-vikings/pff-tyreek-hill-really-might-be-the-best-deep-threat-in-nfl-history-randy-moss/ Wed, 19 May 2021 21:19:38 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=35086

So here I was today, just traveling through the Minnesota sports Twitter world, when I ran into some clear consternation taking place within Vikings nation. This time, for once, that battle wasn’t internal. Instead, it appeared as if a writer over at Pro Football Focus came out with an article claiming Chiefs WR, Tyreek Hill, as the greatest deep threat in NFL history.

In reality, you don’t have to be an NFL historian to know who the obvious GOAT deep threat is. Randy Moss… you may have heard of him?

In 2021, PFF is a pretty big deal so a tweet like this can travel quickly. But everyone knows that Randy Moss was a greater deep threat than what Tyreek Hill ever will be. By the end of today, you might even feel sorry for the PFF “analyst”, Anthony Treash, who uttered such an impossible statement. But that’ll mostly be due to all of the assholes making fun of his avatar, which is pasted onto the PFF Twitter graphic above. Bullying isn’t cool, kids.

The backlash

As you can also see above, the official Minnesota Vikings Twitter account has taken this Tyreek Hill > Randy Moss slander very personal, tweeting out highlight videos and jumping to his defense in reply threads. The Anthony Treash savagery, however, goes far beyond the Vikings’ official account. And it’s been coming in from all directions like a fire hose you can’t turn off.

I mean… Anthony might just want to stay off of social media for awhile and he might want to stay away from NFL history forever.
