Minnesota Twins tender arbitration eligible players; Non-tender others

That doesn’t mean everyone on the 40-man roster was safe, though. Jovani Moran and Ronny Henriquez, neither of which were arbitration eligible, were non-tendered and offered minor league deals. If they were to sign, they’d be back in the organization without counting against the 40-man roster.

#MNTwins tendered contracts to everyone except for Jovani Moran, who is about to undergo Tommy John surgery, and Ronny Henriquez.

Twins hope to sign Moran to a two-year minor-league deal and working to bring Henriquez back on a minor-league deal, too.

The 40-man sits at 36.

Here are the arbitration eligible players who were tendered contracts:

• Kyle Farmer
• Willi Castro
• Caleb Thielbar
• Ryan Jeffers
• Alex Kirilloff
• Jorge Alcala
• Nick Gordon

There were some questions surrounding whether or not the Minnesota Twins would tender utility infielder, Kyle Farmer, who is expected to make over $6.5 million next season. This doesn’t mean he’ll be on the team next season, however.

Ownership has already made it clear they plan to cut payroll in 2024 and a $6.5 million backup infielder probably doesn’t fit into those budget cuts. Farmer’s tender does tell us that the Twins believe they can get a worthy return for him if (likely when) they decide to go another direction.
