He has been under scrutiny regarding a gambling probe, and also was evicted from his place of residence.

The nine-year NBA veteran has seemingly struggled to stay out of his own way, and it’s created a rather chaotic offseason. Recent developments suggest some positives on the horizon however.

Malik Beasley no longer being investigated

It has been a few years since Malik Beasley played for the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, he tangled with Anthony Edwards for the league-lead in three pointers last year and came up one short with 319. This offseason he has been seeking a new contract, and a gambling investigation made that unfruitful. He has now been cleared says ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Malik Beasley is no longer a target of the federal gambling investigation conducted by the Eastern District of New York, his attorneys Steve Haney and Mike Schachter told ESPN on Friday, potentially reopening free agency for one of the NBA’s top shooters.

Haney and Schachter told ESPN that they had extensive conversations and meetings with the Eastern District of New York and received determination on Beasley not being considered the target after allegations regarding gambling on NBA games and prop bets during the 2023-24 season.

“Months after this investigation commenced, Malik remains uncharged and is not the target of this investigation,” Haney told ESPN. “An allegation with no charge, indictment or conviction should never have the catastrophic consequence this has caused Malik. This has literally been the opposite of the presumption of innocence.”

ESPN

As Beasley’s agent Steve Haney told ESPN, this process has certainly been damaging for Beasley. With the allegations hanging over his head, no team was willing to touch him in free agency. The Detroit Pistons were closing in on a three-year deal worth $42 million for the guard, but it evaporated once this news broke.

During his first season in Detroit Beasley averaged 16.3 points per game and earned Sixth Man of the Year consideration. His 41.6% from deep was a new career-high.

This wasn’t the first time Beasley had been involved with nefarious circumstances. While with the MN Timberwolves in 2020, he pleaded guilty to felony threats of violence. That punishment included 120 days in jail, and was backed by a 12-game suspension from the NBA.

NBA rosters are largely set at this point, but Beasley should find an avenue for playing time somewhere. This investigation likely cost him a long-term deal, but a one-year pact for the 28-year-old should be pretty straightforward. If he can avoid issues throughout the next season, a multi-year contract may be on the table again next offseason.

An ugly fallout for Beasley

Although Beasley has rarely done himself favors, this circumstance is one that nor he or his legal team can be thrilled with. Allegations that became public and were ultimately fruitless appear to have cost him tens-of-millions of dollars. What the legal recourse for that looks like remains to be seen.

He is now eligible to sign with Detroit for just $7.2 million, a cool $34.8 million shy of the originally proposed contract. The Pistons also really don’t have the same need anymore, however.

There are only five teams (Chicago, Indiana, New Orleans, Sacramento, and Washington) that have exceptions allowing them an opportunity to pay Beasley more than $7.2 million should they so choose. Brooklyn has ample cap space as well if they want to get involved.

Former MN Timberwolves Player Evicted from Home https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-timberwolves/malik-beasley-evicted-from-apartment/ Fri, 08 Aug 2025 21:43:05 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=66291 News has been light recently, when it comes to the Minnesota Timberwolves. That’s normal this time of year, being most players are off on vacation or working through their offseason training programs, waiting for training camp to conven in October.

Of course, NBA news never really sleeps, in part thanks to players who can’t keep out of the offseason drama, like former Timberwolves wing, Malik Beasley, who has a knack for making the news, especially when games aren’t being played.

Back when he played for Minnesota, Beasley was arrested for pointing a gun at a car that had mistakenly parked near his Twin Cities suburban home during a “Parade of Homes” event. He and his wife were also arrested on drug and weapons charges that stemmed from that original incident.

Most recently, after a stellar season on the court in Detroit, Beasley became the subject of a federal gambling investigation that is still ongoing. Should he be found guilty of whatever misconduct he’s being accused of, Malik could be suspended up to a full season.

But apparently, that wasn’t enough trouble for the 28-year-old out of Atlanta, Georgia, though. This week, according ESPN, while vacationing in Europe, Beasley was evicted from his high-rise apartment in downtown Detroit, due to his failure to pay over $7,000 in rent.

NBA free agent Malik Beasley, who is under investigation in a federal gambling probe, was evicted from his high-rise apartment in Detroit on Wednesday, according to court records.

Beasley’s landlord sued him twice this year in Michigan’s 36th District Court for a total of $21,505 in unpaid rent, the records show. The first case was dismissed in March, but the court issued an eviction order in the second suit — for $7,355 — after Beasley failed to respond.

This is actually one of two suits his landlord filed against him. The first was dismissed. In total, the lawsuits totalled over $20,000. In the midst of this eviction and lawsuits over allegedly unpaid rent, Malik is also being sued by his former marketing agency.

According to ESPN, Beasley due to a failure to pay back a $650,000 advance earlier this year, along with multiple other debts owed to his barber, dentist and well-known financing company that works with pro athletes, according to the Detroit News.

Former Minnesota Timberwolves wing cannot stay out of trouble

Malik Beasley played for the Minnesota Timberwolves from November 2020, when they signed him coming off of a 12 game suspension. In February, 2023, he was dealt to the Utah Jazz as part of the blockbuster trade that landed Rudy Gobert with the Wolves.

Beasley played a total of 130 games in Minnesota, averaging 15.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, in 28.1 minutes. Last year with the Pistons was one of Malik’s best.

He started 18 of 82 games played, averaging 16.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Had Beasley not been leveled with the gambling probe, Detroit was reportedly set to offer him a three-year, $42 million contract that is no longer on the table.

Former Timberwolves Guard Being Investigated for Betting on NBA Games https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-timberwolves/malik-beasley-betting-allegations-investigation/ Sun, 29 Jun 2025 20:17:27 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=64472 It’s been a rather busy week for the Minnesota Timberwolves, who drafted two 18-year-old 7-footers during the two-round 2025 NBA Draft, before re-upping on two of their own veteran big men, Naz Reid (Friday) and Julius Randle (Sunday).

It’s that time of year for the NBA. With free agency opening on Tuesday, it’s decision weekend across the league for teams to make decisions on pending free agents and players to exercise options for 2025-26.

Malik Beasley being investigated for betting on NBA games/props

Like in Detroit, for example, where former Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley was reportedly in “serious contract talks” with the Detroit Pistons on a new deal worth 3 years, $42 million, per Shams Charania (ESPN). That was until Sunday afternoon, when news broke that will surely put a wrench in those discussions.

According to Shams, Beasley is being investigated by the U.S. District Attorney’s office on allegations that he was betting on NBA games and NBA props during the 2023-24 season, while playing for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Related: Rudy Gobert Finally Says No to International Play

It’s important to remember that these investigations are centered around ALLEGATIONS only. Beasley has not even been charged with a crime yet, let alone been found guilty.

Nonetheless, allegations of a professional athlete gambling on their own sport is a big deal, and something that could very well affect the rest of Malik Beasley’s pro career. As of now, the investigation does not seem to include any of Beasley’s time in Minnesota, where he played parts of three seasons (2019-2022).

Beasley’s personal life still raising questions after leaving Minnesota Timberwolves

With the Timberwolves, Beasley averaged 15.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game (28.1 MPG). Prior to arriving in Minnesota, the now 28-year-old former 1st round pick averaged just 7.4 points on 16.4 minutes in 206 games with the Denver Nuggets.

Last year in Detroit, however, Beasley hit his NBA ceiling, averaging 16.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 82 games (18 starts). His super power since leaving has been the three-point shot, which he shot at a 42% clip last year with the Pistons.

This isn’t Malik Beasley’s first run in with trouble. While playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Beasley walked out of his well-off Twin Cities suburban house, pointing a rifle at a car parked on his curb that held a family who had gotten lost house-hunting in the area.

Not long after, investigations into the guns at the Beasley residence led to additional gun and seizures of 30 oz. worth of marijuana. Even worse, his wife ended up taking the fall for those drug charges, while he was out causing more drama. In the middle of all that, Hennepin County filed for protection of Malik Beasley’s son.

In the end, Beasley served a 12-game NBA suspension that season, before rejoining the Timberwolves. A couple years later, however, Connelly finally gave up on the guard he drafted out of Florida State years earlier, dealing him to the Utah Jazz as part of the massive Rudy Gobert blockbuster.

Timberwolves Trade for Rudy Gobert https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-timberwolves/rudy-gobert-traded-to-minnesota-timberwolves/ Fri, 01 Jul 2022 19:53:10 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=39568 All of the rumors and offseason buffering was fun, but nobody believed it would actually happen. Then on Friday afternoon, it did. When Rudy Gobert was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

To get the deal done, the Wolves sent Malik Beasley, Patrick Beverley, (1st rnd pick) Walker Kessler, Jarred Vanderbilt, Leandro Balmero and FOUR future 1st round draft picks (’23, ’25, ’27, ’29) back to Utah. All of those picks, other than 2029, is unprotected. Even in 2029, the protection is only top-5. Expectations for the 2022 Timberwolves just went through the roof.

The Wolves just gave up a bunch of role players and FIVE 1st round picks to bring this Rudy Gobert deal to fruition. One would think you could have gotten just about anybody in the league for that price. What’s also clear with this move, is that the Minnesota Timberwolves organization is zigging, while the rest of the league is zagging.

Wolves Zigs, While Others Zag

With this move, Minnesota has chosen to go BIG while much of the NBA is going small. Another question that immediately comes to mind, is whether or not new owners Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore had any sway on this blockbuster. They’ve been begging the Wolves’ front office to make a splash for over a year.

Reminder, Chris Finch spoke with media the other day and mentioned three players, Jaden McDaniels, Jalen Nowell and (more obviously) Anthony Edwards, who he felt were very important to the future of the Timberwolves. We knew Ant wasn’t going to be dealt, but neither of the other two were included in this trade either.

Malik Beasley Suspended by NBA for Offseason Weapons/Drug Charges https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-timberwolves/malik-beasley-suspended-by-nba-for-offseason-weapons-drug-charges-minnesota-timberwolves/ https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-timberwolves/malik-beasley-suspended-by-nba-for-offseason-weapons-drug-charges-minnesota-timberwolves/#respond Thu, 25 Feb 2021 23:29:06 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=33465

The NBA has suspended Malik Beasley for 12 games stemming from offseason weapons and drug charges. Beasley was charged with pointing a rifle at a family vehicle stopped outside his house during a “Parade of Homes” tour.

Means for suspension

Twelve games is a considerable suspension, by NBA standards. But when you look at the charges that Malik plead down, before pleading guilty, you won’t feel bad for him. Scaring that family outside of his house was bad enough, but there are also accusations by Hennepin County that include Malik pointing guns in the direction of his young son and charges of guns being left in dangerous places around his house.

His wife, Montana Yao, took the fall for some of the worst drug charges leveled at the Beasley household. He repaid her by gracing the cover of tabloid magazines across the internet, holding hands with Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa. The Minnesota Timberwolves then rewarded Beasley with a new contract this offseason, worth $60 million.

On the basketball floor, Malik Beasley has balled out all season. In doing so, he’s become a frontrunner for the NBA’s “Most Improved Player” award. He’ll be missed since the Wolves have been bad even with the former Florida State guard filling up the box-score.

With both Beasley and Russell still out, I expect heavy usage and (hopefully) growth from Anthony Edwards.

Who Should Start for the Minnesota Timberwolves? https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-timberwolves/who-should-start-for-the-minnesota-timberwolves/ https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-timberwolves/who-should-start-for-the-minnesota-timberwolves/#respond Sun, 06 Dec 2020 14:59:29 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=31746

The Minnesota Timberwolves play their first regular season game on December 23rd and there are still a bunch of unanswered questions. This season, the questions aren’t sad and destitute like they have been in years past, but they need to be answered nonetheless. The first, and main question, is a simple one: who is going to start?

We know for sure that Towns and Russell will be there, but who will fill the other three spots? Here are all the players who could potentially start for the Wolves. Sorry Jarrett Culver, but you’re just not very good.

  • Malik Beasley
  • Ricky Rubio
  • Juancho Hernangomez
  • Josh Okogie
  • Jake Layman
  • Anthony Edwards

Embarrassment of riches?

From those six spots, Rosas and Saunders need to find 3 starters. Beasley was just given $15 million/year, but faces a potential suspension. Rubio is a top-4 player on this roster but could be very useful leading a young bench too. Hernangomez is one of only two capable power forwards, but he can’t defend (do we care?).

Okogie plays solid defense, with great energy, but would also make for a good spark plug off the bench. Layman is valuable but doesn’t have the same breakout potential. Edwards is only 19 and loaded with talent but he hasn’t had an offseason and won’t have much of a preseason.

If the Minnesota Timberwolves were smart enough to hire me as the guy who makes these major roster decisions, here would be my starting-five.

  • PG: D’Angelo Russel
  • SG: Malik Beasley
  • SF: Jake Layman
  • PF: Juan Hernangomez
  • C: Karl-Anthony Towns
Why Beasley?

Malik Beasley, while his off-the-court antics are highly questionable (and allegedly criminal), did more than enough in 14 games on-the-court last season, to prove he belongs in the starting lineup. He’s also a 3rd shooting threat next to Towns and Russell, which should help all three of them get decent looks at the basket. He isn’t good at defense, but who needs defense, right?

Why Juan Hernangomez?

I believe Juancho Hernangomez is as much a lock as anyone to be in this starting lineup, mostly because there’s nobody else. JH is talented enough to do it on offense and, I’m feeling like a bit of a broken record at this point, but we don’t care about defense in this blog. Lastly, Juancho Hernangomez is really annoying to spell. Can we get this dude a nickname?

Why Jake Layman?

I love me some Jake Layman and I believe he is best suited for this spot. Is he the most talented out of him, Rubio, Edwards, and Okogie? No, he may even be fourth on that list… but I think he fits in best with the other four starters.

Although it comes in very small sample sizes, he was one of the only players to have a positive +/- two-man rotation with both DLo and Towns (according to basketball-reference.com). When playing with Russell, the Wolves were +10.8 in +/- last season. With Towns, it was a +7.2. Layman provides stability both offensively (and defensively for those who care). He’s another outside shooter, too.

Bench of Stars

There are pieces of the second unit that have me more excited than the first. A bench of Rubio, Edwards, and Okogie sounds pretty damn good. They’d certainly be a lot of fun to watch. Nobody knows how to run an offense better than Rubio and he’s the perfect side-piece to a young and blossoming Anthony Edwards, Josh Okogie and Jarrett Culver.

It’s not always about who starts the game, though. Who is playing in crunch time? It will obviously depend partly on game flow and who is playing well, but you’d have to think we’ll see both Russell and Rubio on the floor in key late-game situations.

Malik Beasley Challenging Wolves’ New “Culture” https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-timberwolves/malik-beasley-challenging-minnesota-timberwolves-gersson-rosas-new-culture/ https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-timberwolves/malik-beasley-challenging-minnesota-timberwolves-gersson-rosas-new-culture/#respond Thu, 03 Dec 2020 18:00:43 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=31682

The word “culture” has been saturated in the sports world for some time now. Reporters will ask a player or coach how they pulled off a big victory and “culture” is a popular answer. PJ Fleck has made it a term of consternation in the state of Minnesota but the Gophers aren’t the only program pushing their “culture” in this town.

When Gersan Rosas arrived in 2019, the Minnesota Timberwolves immediately became a “culture driven” organization too. It was based on work ethic, togetherness, accountability and A LOT of collaboration.

Bahama Wolves

Last offseason, there was a trip to the Bahamas, meant to bring players closer together. Guys were suddenly showing up early for extra practice reps and they were participating in voluntary workouts.

Rosas saw it as an opportunity for a fresh start at a new identity and to weed out the players that weren’t particularly all in. For Glen Taylor, it was the antithesis of Tom Thibodeau, by design.

The problem with selling an authentic culture though… it has to be authentic. You can’t tell this long-suffering fan base to embrace patience when they’re constantly reading stories about Malik Beasley pointing guns at people, being arrested and cheating on his wife. To make matters worse, the Wolves signed Beasley to a 4-year/$60 million contract in the middle of it all unfolding.

On the court, Beasley is an explosive athlete and the prototypical “3 and D” player who the Wolves have desperately needed for years. Malik plays within himself, is efficient in the half court and he’s excellent in catch-and-shoot situations. Off the court, however, he is corkscrewing this whole “culture” thing into the ground.

Let’s run it back quick for those who don’t know.

Beasley currently lives with girlfriend Montana Yao (that’s subject to change) and son Makai, but he was caught hand in hand by TMZ with Larsa Pippen (Scottie’s ex-wife) in an airport. To make matters worse, another story came out that there was a third girl involved in an already messed up situation. We covered the whole situation in more detail yesterday.

Malik’s response? He tweeted “Control what you can control,” yesterday on Twitter.

Instead of apologizing to his girlfriend, teammates and the franchise that just invested $60 million into him, he tweeted ignorance.

This doesn’t happen to the real ones…

I understand that players’ personal lives are their own but why don’t I hear these stories come out of Miami or Boston? Because their “culture” a winning one and it’s authentic.

Can you imagine how Danny Ainge (Boston) would react if Jayson Tatum faced felony charges and was all over TMZ just a few weeks before the season? What about Pat Riley?

Rosas must be sure he, not only has the right players on the court, but that he also has the right players off the court. Rosas was right when he arrived. The Minnesota Timberwolves desperately needed a culture change. But if the new culture doesn’t demand excellence on and off the court, it won’t matter.

Malik Beasley needs shape up or shape out, and it’s up to the leaders of this franchise to make sure he knows that. Otherwise, this will be the same losing team that’s made the playoffs just 1 time in 16 years.

Malik Beasley signed a 4-year/$60 million contract last week with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but outside of that, his life is currently a shit show. Don’t feel sorry for him. I’ve never met Malik but with every day that goes by, he looks like a worse human being.

Let’s skip past the felony charges he is facing for pointing his rifle at a family (including a 13-yr-old girl) who was house hunting in his rich Plymouth, MN neighborhood. Then, we’ll look beyond the security camera footage that has Hennepin County trying to take his son away for leaving and pointing loaded guns in the 1-year-old’s vicinity.

There was a 2nd felony charge that Malik Beasley avoided this offseason. After his house was searched by police, because he pointed a rifle at an innocent family not on his property, he was wasn’t slapped with a felony drug charge for the 30+ ounces (1.85 lbs) of marijuana that was found. His wife, Montana Yao, was charged with that felony. Yeah, his wife was his “fall guy gal”.

Ride or Die?

That’s a “ride or die” relationship, right? Well… maybe on one side… but not for Malik Beasley. The last 24 hours have been about Beasley and his side chicks. It started with Larsa Pippen (46), Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife and a social media “entrepreneur” who has 2 million Instagram followers. Malik’s “fall guy” wife has come out and said she had no idea about Pippen, let alone any others…

Sources close to Beasley’s wife Montana Yao tell TMZ Sports … she was “blindsided” when she saw the pics of the Minnesota Timberwolves star arm-in-arm with Pippen during a Nov. 23 outing in Miami.

In the photos, 24-year-old Beasley and 46-year-old Pippen are wearing masks and holding hands while walking out in public. Larsa is wearing a pretty sexy outfit with no bra.

Our sources tell us Yao — who has a child with Beasley — had expected Malik to be home in Minnesota for his 24th birthday on Nov. 26 … and she was disappointed when he didn’t make it back.

TMZ

Not done…

If you think Malik Beasley cared about being busted by TMZ or anyone else, you’re wrong. This dude gives ZERO fucks. We’ve since found out that Beasley wasn’t only hiding his side chick from his wife… but from another side chick.

Shocker.

This one’s Instagram following is a lot smaller but she has the receipts between herself and Beasley.. and they are pretty incredible. According to TheShadeRoom.com, @luvvjewel wasn’t happy about the Larsa Pippen pictures either.

These emails and DM’s tho…

ALL HELL has broken loose! Malik, who is still very much a married man, was also allegedly creepin’ with another woman (@luvvjewel), who was NOT happy when she found out about Larsa on social media, similarly to how his wife found out.

The tea is, Malik slid into her DMs and they have had a full on (alleged) relationship. Our source tells us, she’s been inside Malik’s home, she’s met his son, and has slept in the same bed he shares (or now shared) with his wife.

@TheShadeRoom – Instagram

I’m not perfect but at least I’m not Malik Beasley

I’m don’t usually come here to patronize athletes’ personal lives. They live lives that none of us could even imagine and the temptations they run into have to be that of the impossible nature…

But I can’t anymore with Malik Beasley. If your wife takes felony drug charges for you, you can’t do her dirty like this. All this dude has to do is lay low and the Timberwolves and their media outlets will leave him alone.

Instead, he can’t stay out of his own way and has zero real consequences for his actions. It’s pretty incredible. Oh, but his wife has, according to theshaderoom.com, gotten a lawyer and plans to file for divorce. Good for her. Hopefully she rats him out on the drug charge too.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have opened NBA free agency by signing Malik Beasley to a fresh 4-year deal worth a total of $60 million ($15M/year). Next week, he will turn 24 years old and his 2019 season was his best.

After being traded from Denver to Minneapolis, Beasley’s minutes nearly doubled and he blossomed because of it. His 20 points and 5 rebounds per game (with a .426 knockdown percentage from three) sent him into the offseason as a top priority for Gersson Rosas.

Gersson Rosas, other Timberwolves executives and players alike have all stood behind Malik, even as his legal situation spiraled downward with every news report that dropped this offseason.

Still, all reports lead toward the Wolves standing by the Florida State alum. ‘Family members don’t quit on each other when times get tough’, is the stance they took. We’ll find out how well that works out over the next 4 years. Paying Beasley $15 million per year will look like a steal, if this all blows over and is forgotten by time.

Back in September, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley was arrested in his Plymouth, MN home. At the time, many were under the impression that he was booked for “smoking a little weed”.

But more information has been pouring in over the last week, and it doesn’t shine Beasley in a good light. The latest came Wednesday morning. Included in this new drop, is an order for protection filed by Hennepin County, for Beasley’s 19-month-old son. Here are the details, according to the Star Tribune.

Beyond the charges filed last week accusing Beasley of aiming a rifle at a couple and their teenage daughter in an SUV outside his house, where a large stash of marijuana and other guns were seized by police, the petition also says Beasley was caught on indoor video surveillance pointing a rifle “in the general direction” of his son in the garage that same day.

The son remains in parental custody as a judge weighs the petition’s allegations and whatever response to the filing the parents might offer.

I don’t want to comment on what Beasley was doing “pointing a rifle in the general direction” of his 19-month-old son, without any of the video or context, but it sounds really bad when written on paper.

County Files for Protection of Beasley’s Son

The new charges don’t stop there, however. According to this same report by the Star Tribune, Beasley and his wife met with a county child protection investigator, following the incident above. They agreed to a “safety plan” that included staying sober while all of this got figured out.

Neither was able to do so. Two weeks after being told to stay clean, both parents tested positive for the “active ingredient for marijuana”. Malik also tested positive for an amphetamine and his wife for “a recent sedative”.

More Details From First Arrest

We’re finding out more about what was seized from Malik Beasley’s house, following his original arrest. Beyond the rifle and 1.75 lbs of marijuana that was originally reported, here’s what police seized.

— One Loaded shotgun that was accessible to 19-month-old son (gun was previously reported stolen in Denver before Beasley was traded here)

— One handgun

— Three notebooks suspected of being drug ledgers

— Nine dextroamphetamine pills

The loaded shotgun is part of what triggered the county to file for protection of Beasley’s young son. Malik and his wife currently have custody of their son while a judge reviews the county’s request.

What Next?

We’ll just have to wait and see what else comes out, regarding this arrest. Minnesota Timberwolves players and management have all supported Beasley and have committed to riding this out with him. How far can their allegiance stretch? I guess we’ll find out.
