Here is your chance to put the Minnesota Twins on your shoulders and lift 4 players into the MLB All-Star game that will be played in Cleveland, come July 9.

Over the next 28 hours (starts at 11 CT on 6/26) you will be afforded the opportunity to vote for the MLB All-Star Game starters (links and directions to vote below). But, here is where things get serious… Each position has 3 players to vote for (9 total outfielders/3 starters). The players that win will be the starters of next month’s big game. Those who DO NOT get selected…. well, they aren’t even guaranteed a spot on the team, period.

So, don’t leave our All-Star fate up to the assholes around the MLB. Take control Twins’ fans! This is our time!!! Let’s get all four of these fuckers starting in this game.

The way I understand the rules, you can vote 5 times (only 4 Twins available so pick your 5th) in the first 24 hours, before everything resets. The real fan MVP’s will get to vote 10 total times on MLB.com (sometime in the first 4 hours and then again tomorrow when it resets, but before the voting ends at 3 PM)

That’s not the only way to vote, though. You can also vote on Google by just searching the player’s name in the search bar and then clicking just one “vote” button.

I’ve made it easier. Click each player below and a new tab will open where you will be taken directly to their Google voting ballot:

  1. Jorge Polanco
  2. C.J. Cron
  3. Eddie Rosario
  4. Nelson Cruz

NOW THAT YOU’VE VOTED ON GOOGLE, CLICK HERE TO ALSO VOTE AT MLB.COM

Twins Split Saturday Doubleheader; Guaranteed to Win Sunday https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-twins/twins-split-saturday-doubleheader-guaranteed-to-win-sunday/ https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-twins/twins-split-saturday-doubleheader-guaranteed-to-win-sunday/#respond Sun, 12 May 2019 03:10:39 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=15501 The Twins and the Tigers played a doubleheader today/tonight and Detroit was able to keep the smouldering bats of the Minnesota lineup relatively quiet in game 1… so predictibly, it was bombs away in game 2.

It was a huge day for CJ Cron, who finished the day 5-8 with 4 RBI, 2 Runs and 2 HR. After many were talking about his offensive struggles recently, he now has a .261 batting average, is tied for 2nd in team homeruns, and 3rd in RBI.

The Twins pitching staff came up big again, too. Game 1 wasn’t as smooth as hoped. The Twins gave up 5 runs but Pineda had his best start yet. Unfortunately, Trevor Hildenberger struggled again, giving up 2 runs in the top of the 9th, after the offense had tied the game at 3-3 just before that. You can’t win them all, though.

And of course after losing game-1, game-2 wasn’t even worth watching if you’re a Tigers fan. The Twins dominated the entire thing and didn’t even have to use a regular pitcher. They went from Kohl Stewart (who pitched 6 solid innings), into Matt Magill, Mike Morin, and finished with Tyler Duffey.

We stayed atop the MLB standings with the split and took command of the 4-game series, 2-1.

Tomorrow afternoon will be the game-4, and the final one of this series vs Detroit. It will also be a Twins win.

Guaranteed.

Our new Cy Young lefty, Martin Perez, is scheduled to take the mound and he just had a kid this week so he is riding high on new daddy confidence. There is absolutely NO CHANCE the Tigers have a shot of splitting this series tomorrow. The Twins might win by double-digits and Perez might throw a no-hitter.

Call me crazy now. Just make sure you hit that subscribe/follow button when I’m right.

Twins Banned from Canada After Abusing Blue Jays 20-1 During Series Sweep https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-twins/twins-banned-from-canada-after-abusing-blue-jays-20-1-during-series-sweep/ https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/minnesota-twins/twins-banned-from-canada-after-abusing-blue-jays-20-1-during-series-sweep/#respond Thu, 09 May 2019 02:04:35 +0000 https://www.minnesotasportsfan.com/?p=15419 I tried to warn the Blue Jays last weekend, that if the Twins lost the series they were playing to the Yankees, at that time, Toronto was in big fucking trouble. The 2019 Minnesota Twins HATE losing, especially a series in New York.

And holy Canada… was I right.. First, there were games one and two from Monday and Tuesday. Martin Perez and Jose Berrios + the Twins offense combined for an 11-0 score over 18 innings and they had the Blue Jays wondering if boycotting baseball would have been the better early week option..

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_code _builder_version=”3.22.7″]

[/et_pb_code][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.22.7″]

But sweeping a team in the MLB isn’t easy so the Twins had probably thought they had a tough and difficult task ahead of them tonight. I mean hell, the law of averages says the game would have to at least be close… that Toronto might put a few runs on the board…

Well, not really. They did get one, which is one more than they had the first two night combined… The Twins, though… they didn’t have any problems once again.

[/et_pb_code][et_pb_code _builder_version=”3.22.7″]

[/et_pb_code][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.22.7″]

It was a good start to the week, in Toronto. But, it’s just the first 3 games of a stretch that includes 20-straight games vs teams that didn’t make the postseason last year. That means, by the time we start discussing the All-Star rosters, the Twins have a chance to build a gap between themselves and Cleveland that would be hard to kick a rock across.

Cleveland was able to sneak a W in tonight, between all of their recent L’s, so the gap between the two teams remains 4 games until tomorrow…
