Top Prospect Jesper Wallstedt Recalled by Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild are finally reaching into the AHL for some goalie help for Marc-Andre Fleury and, as expected, they have recalled top prospect Jesper Wallstedt to come up and share net duties with a living legend.

I wrote a bit more in-depth about Jesper Wallstedt a couple days ago, after Filip Gustavsson was put on injured reserve and rumors started running amuck that the 21-year-old Swede’s debut was drawing near.

He’s the #1 goalie prospect in the world, and THE future in net for Minnesota. Wallstedt won’t get the start on Monday night but his first appearance is clearly imminent.
