Vikings Looking to Make Linebacker Position a Family Affair?
Approximately one and a half months ago, the Minnesota Vikings agreed to a massive five-year contract extension with Middle Linebacker, Eric Kendricks. The $50 million agreement locked up the linebacker through the 2024 season.
In regards to his new deal, Kendricks only leaked the life-changing information to one individual:
Last Tuesday, just over five weeks removed from Eric’s payday, the Super Bowl Champion Eagles released the older Kendricks brother. As a result, the 27 year-old Mychal effectively became a free-agent.
As for this Tuesday, our Kendricks’ big brother was hanging around the Land of 10K Lakes:
Former Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks is in Minnesota for his visit with the Vikings now, according to two league sources. Vikings will see if they want to add Eric Kendricks’ older brother to the roster.

If the prospect of having both brothers wearing Purple gets you jacked, great minds think alike. Peyton Manning’s 2016 left a void in Eli’s fan’s hearts. When it comes to whether or not Mychal Kendricks should sign with Minnesota, this individual gets it:
yeah but in my madden franchise you’re teammates

Mychal Kendricks was the 46th pick of the 2012 NFL draft. Throughout his six-year NFL career, the Cal alum has averaged 76.5 tackles per season:
Sidebar: His role has diminished since 2014.
With his Minnesota meeting complete, Mychal will move onto scheduled visits with the Browns and Raiders. According to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports, “we can expect Kendricks to make his decision this week.”
In “funny how that works” fashion, the Mychal Kendricks carousel comes in the midst of new developments surrounding a non-blood related, Vikings linebacker:
It appears Anthony Barr’s absence from OTAs was short-lived; Vikings released video of today’s practice that showed Barr with the team.

Last week, Anthony Barr was the only starter who didn’t attend Minnesota’s three optional practices. The move comes as the Pro Bowler is entering the final year of his current contract.
With Barr expected to talk to the media on Wednesday, it’ll be interesting to see how he responds to questions regarding the elephant in the room.
Speaking of elephant in the room, I’m sure you’re dying to know if the earlier referenced Madden player is offering up other football related wisdom. Unfortunately, his pigskin takes must be few and far between.
However, the brainiac does provide unique insight on different topics:
I’ve got pubes, I promise.
