The move was expected after Zimmer’s extension was agreed to, but now that both are reportedly done that gives both Zimmer and Spielman a little more security than they had coming into the season.

All GM’s have picks that don’t pan out, but Spielman has had far more hits than misses on his watch as Vikings GM.
Regardless of your feelings of Rick Spielman and Mike Zimmer, stability is something the Vikings and all of us could use a lot more of these days.
