Sam Bradford to be in Full Game-Sleeves Sunday vs. Saints

For the diehards out there that put their long-armed, number 8, Vikings’ jersey away, go grab that sucker. Sammy Sleeves is back.

Per reports, Minnesota will dress Sam Bradford on Sunday vs. New Orleans. As of noon Friday, there is no indication as to whether or not the Purple intend to do the same with Teddy Bridgewater.

Naturally, this is Case’s show. Keenum is ready to rock and roll with his “I’m gonna be me” mindset heading into the playoffs. Knock on wood that all of this backup QB talk is just a waste of breath.

Sunday’s Divisional matchup will mark the first time that Bradford has been active since week 5. To refresh your memory, that was the MNF game vs. the Bears. After the Oklahoma alum started the game, Keenum ended up having to relieve him, leading the team on a comeback 20-17 victory, and a career season that has inked him as the unquestioned starter entering the playoffs. Before Keenum put his Superman cape on that night, Bradford was a disaster that rivaled the season of our neighbors to the East.

Regardless of what occurred a little over three months ago, don’t lose any sleep over the possibility of it recurring. Despite having an injury riddled career, outside of the Bears contest, the former number 1 overall pick doesn’t have a history of those types of in-game meltdowns. And most of his poor play could probably be attributed to the knee injury he has now “recovered” from.

Like I said, let’s hope that in NO way, shape, or form does the backup QB becomes relevant during what’s sure to be a 3+ hour blood bath on Sunday afternoon. But, in the event the Football Gods throw us that curveball, it’s likely Bradford that takes over. Although we do expect Bridgewater to dress too, with Bradford’s injury status up until this week.

F*ck it, tho. Considering our STACKED roster, either of those two could hypothetically lead us to a Super Bowl, if needed. R-E-L-A-X. We’re not sitting here concerned about a potential Shaun Hill cameo.
