The Twins are Going to the Playoffs:
The Twins had a chance to clinch last night with a win in Cleveland. Unfortunately, they lost that game by two runs.
However, a loss but the Angels of LA or Cal or Anaheim would clinch the spot too. It took an extra inning but the White Sox beat the Angels on Wednesday night and the celebration in the Twins clubhouse was on. I will let you watch for yourself. Also enjoy Parker Hageman’s montage of the season.
Congratulations Twins fans. Way to stay patient. You deserve this.
We started at the bottom, now we’re here.

Mike Evans is Delusional:
So, last night, the NFL put up a cool graphic of Xavier Rhodes on his shut-down performances in the early part of the NFL season. No big deal right? The guy has been phenomenal.
Attention all opposing WRs:

Well, there I was this morning. I got up a little earlier which happens about 50% of the time these days. I was drinking a cup of coffee and reading the morning papers on my laptop, while my daughter ate breakfast, when I got a notification from Bleacher Report on my phone. Here is what it led me to:
Rhodes were open for me. Film don’t lie https://t.co/2trIeOQrPN
— Mike Evans (@MikeEvans13_) September 27, 2017
Now, I watched the entire game, watched all sorts of All-22 (and non-all-22) video breakdown, and wrote a recap with more video than any other recap on the internet. Mike Evans was right about one thing. The film doesn’t lie. I don’t know if he meant to say the Rhodes we “closed” for him…
So, being the curious human I am, I thought I would show him the film I saw and see which clip he thought the Rhodes were open on.. READ MORE
Miguel Sano Swinging Again and ‘On Right Track’ According to Two Doctors:
Miguel Sano took 60 swings today in what was a step in the right direction for the young slugger. He hasn’t had any activity in the last couple weeks. The problem kept springing back up when they did try to ramp Sano back up to full speed, a few weeks ago.
So they backed off and then gave it another go today. They will wait to see how the shin responds. According to Levelle, Sano isn’t likely to play before or during the Wildcard game against the Yankees. The Twins are trying to see if they will be able to bring him back at all, if they were to move forward, past New York.

Stalock Wins Backup Wild Goalie Job:
Today, Niklas Svedberg was sent through waivers before being placed on the Iowa Wild roster. That means Alex Stalock will be Devan Dubnyk’s backup. Stalock played well last year when given the opportunity. He will now have the chance to be the Wild backup full-time.
Rookie, Luke Kunin, newcomer from last year, Joel Erickson Ek, and underperforming Mike Reilly are among the players that are still around but not guaranteed a roster spot.

Case Keenum or Sam Bradford on Sunday vs Detroit?:
It’s another week leading up to Vikings’ football and another week of speculation on who will play quarterback. Today, Mike Zimmer gave Bradford another day off to let his knee heel. That means he has tomorrow and Friday to get on the practice field. He needs to feel comfortable before taking the field against the Lions on Sunday.
“I’m going to give him the day off today,” Zimmer said Wednesday. “But we’re doing everything we can to get him ready to play Sunday. We’ll just give him one more day of rest.”
It looks like we will be relying on Case Keenum to carry us to victory again this week. If he plays like he did last week, we will all be fine with that…
