Alabama Star EDGE Dallas Turner Has Private Pre-Draft Visit Scheduled with Vikings
In just 38 days, the 2024 NFL Draft will kick off, setting the stage for what could be a pivotal moment for the Minnesota Vikings. With two first-round picks in hand, the Vikings face a momentous draft, offering them a multitude of possibilities to weigh and consider.
Minnesota Vikings have pre-draft visit scheduled with EDGE Dallas Turner (Alabama)
With pro days going on all over the country, players are unveiling teams interested in them, along with scheduled visits, etc. At today’s University of Alabama pro day, star EDGE Dallas Turner, who is expected to be one of the first defensive players taken next month, revealed that the Vikings are one of the teams that has set up a pre-draft visit with him.
Alabama edge Dallas Turner — who could be the first defensive player off the board — told me he has upcoming pre-draft visits with, among others, the #Bears (Nos. 1 and 9 overall picks), #Falcons (8) and #Vikings (11 and 23).

Numerous mock drafts have predicting Turner to be chosen by the Minnesota Vikings, at the 11th spot. The fit just makes sense. After losing Danielle Hunter, general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and defensive coordinator Brian Flores need to find more pass rushers to help put pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Should they end up with Turner, they’d fill that need immediately, and on the cheap.

Turner is from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and emerged from the 2023-24 college football season as the SEC co-defensive player of the year and consensus All-American. At just 21-years-old, Turner would be exactly what the doctor ordered for the Vikings pass rush.

Of course, after letting Kirk Cousins go to Atlanta and then trading for an additional first round pick (No. 23 overall), most expect the Vikings to target their QB of the future in the first round, come April 25.

But, nobody knows exactly how that first round will shake out. If Kwesi & Co believe it’s worth a pre-draft visit, then they certainly think it’s possible that they could have a chance to draft Dallas Turner.
