Royce Lewis Gets First Hit of Spring Training and it’s a BOMB….

Royce Lewis has his first realistic chance of playing in the MLB this season. If it weren’t for the great expectations the Twins have, along with a plethora of young of middle infielders, it would be a forgone conclusion.
Well this February/March, he’s playing with the big league club in Spring Training and it’s been a struggle, early. He started 0-11, but today vs the Tampa Bay Rays, he got his first recorded hit of Spring Training and it was a homerun…. a moon-shot no-doubter, at that.

The biggest knock on Lewis has been his power projection. In today’s game, that’s what makes you a great player. Seriously, Luis Arraez might be a really good player for 10 years… but if he doesn’t develop a little power that bumps his RBI and OPS, he’ll struggle to ever be a “great” player. Hell, Arraez has hit .300 at every stop, but nobody knew who he was until he made it to the big leagues.
Royce Lewis recently regained his top-spot in the Twins organization, as top prospect. He busted back into the MLB top-10, too. He’s ranked as high as the #7 prospect in the MLB, right after he was drafted in 2018 and has stood at #9 each of the last two seasons.
If he can start hitting more Bombas in 2020, his ceiling will be uncapped.
ROYCE LEWIS GET OFF THE ROIDS!!! ?
