Twins SWEEP Arizona with WIN Sunday:
What a weekend for Twins baseball. After losing 2 of 3 against Cleveland, the Twins bounced back like they have all year, and swept Arizona in a 3 game series. They are currently tied for the 2nd place Wild Card and 2.5 games behind the Yankees for the 1st WC.
It started right away. The Twins went off the handle in the first inning scoring 9 runs. Instead of writing all of it and getting carpal tunnel, lets watch:
Colon would get his first win ever against Arizona. The final would be 12-5 for our Minnesota Twins.
Miguel Sano heads to Disabled List:
The Twins’ have been on a hot streak and they are heading into one of the easiest parts of their schedule. Aaron Gleeman tweeted about that today:
Twins play their next 27 games versus teams with a worse record than them. Their next game versus a team with a better record: September 18.

But they will play the next 10 days without their All-star 3rd baseman, Miguel Sano. He has been placed on the 10-day Disabled List with a stress reaction to his left tibia.
According to the reaction from Lavelle Neal, this isn’t overly serious. The Twins are hopeful of his return as soon as the 10 days is up.
Michael Cuddyer and Andy Macphail inducted into Twins’ HOF:

Vikings sign Mitch Leidner:
The Vikings needed another QB with Taylor Heinecke out. They didn’t have to go very far. Spielman picked up the phone and dialed none other than the previous Minnesota Gophers QB, Mitch Leidner.
Leidner had a rocky career for the Gophers. He struggled with accuracy, timing, and a lot of other things on the field. But his presence in the locker room, as a leader, was heralded by his coaches and teammates.
The reaction around Twitter was about what you could expect:
“An errant Mitch Leidner throw today in practice took out Sam Bradford’s and Delvin Cook’s knees, ending their seasons.” – tomorrow’s news

Mitch Leidner’s going to get cut in two weeks and we’ll forget all about this, yay!

Mitch Leidner couldn’t even play college football!! What makes the Vikings think he will be able to play in the NFL??

I forgot we signed Mitch Leidner today. Would have rather signed a bucket, but that’s just me.
