Josh Donaldson Completely Buries Lucas Giolito in Pregame Press Conference Wednesday
So the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox are playing in a series that means absolutely nothing, at this point in the season. The Sox are up by 12.5 games on the Twins are going into sell mode.
But last night, Josh Donaldson hit a first inning home run and and made the series interesting by screaming, “hands not sticky anymore!”, as he crossed home plate.
That caused a reaction from Giolito on the post game press conference where he called Donaldson “a fucking pest”, among other things.
Donaldson Speaks
Josh chose not to speak with media after the game last night but did plenty of talking when he sat down with them pregame this afternoon. I’ll leave you with this… Josh Donaldson is the winner of this round and the scorecard wasn’t close.
Josh Donaldson said that he caught Lucas Giolito in the parking lot last night on the way out of the ballpark, in order to address Giolito face-to-face after he asked for that last night.

He said Giolito didn’t have much to say in response.
Donaldson, on his talk with Giolito:

“He said that he thought I was annoying. I said, ‘So what? I’m on the opposing team. What do you care about me?’ I said, ‘I’m in your face. I’m telling you what I think. What have you got to say about that?’ And he didn’t have any response.”
I asked Donaldson about how he feels about all this blowing up in the media.

As part of a much longer response that strayed all over the place, including to Ozzie Guillén’s OPS as a player, this part is indicative of why he’s so passionate about the issue: pic.twitter.com/CsAnN7MVO8
