If the MLB Went WWE… Who Represents for Their Team in a Royal Rumble?

AL West

Houston Astros

Roberto Osuna

Height: 6’2” Weight: 215

This choice was difficult to make because regardless of who was chosen, they would be the first to perish. On a long list of scumbags which happen to make up the Houston Astros, Roberto Osuna sits at the top. This is a guy who was suspended 75 games for violating Major League Baseball’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse policy in 2018. As soon as this fight begins, every player on this list would turn and stomp him like a bug.

Los Angeles Angels

Mike Trout

Height: 6’2” Weight: 235

Mike Trout will go down as one of the greatest baseball players to ever live. Unroftunately he has yet to be crowned a World Series champion. Mike Trout has been held back by a lackluster supporting cast for years, but now is his time to shine. I believe that Trout has the physical capabilities to win the batting title. However in a Royal Rumble I do doubt his mental edge would be needed to raise the belt. Trout does not display any aggression on the field regardless of whether he can hit a homerun or rob the other teams of one. This is a different environment though, and he might do well for a few rounds. Unfortunately I don’t think he wins this Royale Rumble.

Oakland Athletics

Matt Chapman

Height: 6’6” Weight: 220

To be an elite third basemen, you need to have reflexes like a cat. Chapman won’t overpower any of the top third baseman, but he can certainly avoid the big blows. I can see Chapman dodging punches in any Royal rumble like Muhammad Ali. Chapman might make it relatively fair in this bout, but he also plays in the Coliseum so he may be able to channel his inner gladiator.

Daniel Vogelbach

Height: 6’0” Weight: 250

Daniel Vogelbach could win any eating contest put forth by Major League Baseball unless Big Sexy comes back. Unfortunately I don’t see him as a threat in any other aspect. That smug smirk of his will surely be wiped away early on in this skirmish.

Texas Rangers

Rougned Odor

Height: 5’11 Weight: 195

One thing we know about this fighter is that he has the ability to throw a punch. Standing in as the lightest of the card, Odor will merely be the little brother trying to play tackle football with his older brother’s friends. Roughned actually shares the same name as his younger brother. You can’t question this guys’ heart. But like Secretariat… the heart can only take you so far.

So who would win? As with any Royale Rumble the field order is the most important aspect of the match itself. So whoever comes out last could likely end up winning the whole damn thing.
