Byron Buxton to Take First Live Batting Practice of Spring
When will Byron Buxton take his next step in recovery from his most recent injury? Judd Zulgad of SKOR North says he will take his first live BP session on Tuesday and hopefully play in a Spring Training game before the Twins start regular season play in Oakland on March 26.

As Judd mentions, it’s not a guarantee that Buxton gets any play before spring training ends and it’s more than likely, he won’t be a regular in the lineup when the regular season starts.
That’s why we have guys like Marwin Gonzalez, though. The biggest thing is getting Buxton healthy… then his future is on his own shoulders. Time to stop using walls as high-speed tackling dummies.
You don’t win that matchup… ever. I know Buxton wants to be himself and worries about what his game will be, if he loses his fearlessness in the outfield. But, I’d rather have Buxton with a governor than no Buxton at all.
