We posted an article on Wednesday regarding Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns selections as 2018 NBA All Stars. That piece touched on how the game itself is no longer a battle between conferences. Like the XFL will in their 2020 rebirth, the association switched the style up.

With Bron and Steph having completed the most PC draft possible, the rosters were released on Thursday evening. As for Minnesota’s representatives, they will remain teammates. The pair that’ll be leading the Wolves to their first playoff appearance in 14 years were taken by the Davidson alum, who doubles as the best shooter in the world. #TeamStephen.

Don’t be like me and get your hopes up over the thought of seeing KAT and Joel Embiid take on the Pelicans big man duo of DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis. Embiid’s joints (tendons? muscles? I’m not a doctor) are softer than papier-mâché. Can the league just go ahead and update his status for the February 18th contest as questionable?

My stance on the All-Star Draft is this: Right play call, poor execution. On the surface, I appreciate the added wrinkle. For organizations like the NBA, “giving the people what they want” is usually the best approach but if they wanted viewers they would have aired that bi%^h. That would’ve been entertainment at its best. However, as Wednesday’s article mentioned, despite my disappointment as a fan, I understand why the league didn’t televise the draft. $Billions$

If they’re not going to air the selections, then give us fans the matchups we crave. Unfortunately, the positive PR for Lebron and Steph from their selections seems to good to be true. Stay woke.
