It looks like the god or aliens we were all praying to may have actually come through… X-rays on Luis Arraez’ ankle have come back negative. First, this didn’t look like an ankle and Arraez looked like a guy who already knew his disastrous fate.

But I’m just glad that everyone’s first glance was wrong. On a much more minor note, I’m glad I didn’t make this headline anything other than facts. Now, we just have to wait to see how serious this ankle injury is… and how long it will keep Luis off of his feet.

In case you were getting your hopes too high for these Minnesota Twins, the world apparently needed to remind us exactly where we are.

I am in shock, along with the rest of Twins nation. Luis Arraez has been everything the Twins needed, hitting amongst all of the power bats that lace the entire lineup… and now, it looks like he will be gone. I’ll post the video when I have it. It was a measly pop-fly in the infield. I don’t even understand what happened. You don’t need this game. Just let the fucking thing drop on the ground. Let them run all the way around the bases for all I care. I’m distrought and I’m going to stop typing before I start pointing fingers or blaming people/places/things/ideas (nouns) that don’t deserve it.

I am 99% sure Luis Arraez will be out for the postseason. Wow, talk about deflating a weekend…
