Kevin Garnett Goes Off on Glen Taylor Again… “I Don’t Do Business with Snake Mu’F**kas…”

“Glen knows where I’m at, I’m not entertaining it. First of all, it’s not genuine. Two, he’s getting pressure from a lot of fans and, I guess, the community there. Glen and I had an understanding before Flip died, and when Flip died, that understanding went with Flip. For that, I won’t forgive Glen. I won’t forgive him for that. I thought he was a straight up person, straight up business man, and when Flip died, everything went with him.”

“My years in Minnesota and in that community, I cherish. At this point, I don’t want any dealings with Glen Taylor or Taylor Corp. or anything that has to do with him. I love my Timberwolves, I’ll always love my guys, I’ll always love the people who fuck with me there. I’ll always have a special place for the city of Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota in my heart. But I don’t do business with snakes. I don’t do business with snake mu’fuckas. I try not to do business with openly snakes or people who are snake-like.”

Minnesota Timberwolves fans want to see Kevin Garnett’s #21 up in the rafters of Target Center… but that clearly isn’t happening until Glen Taylor no longer owns a stake in the franchise. This latest post by Shams Charania, in The Athletic, makes that fact as clear as it can be made.

As a Timberwolves fan, that sucks. We’d all love to see Garnett’s jersey raised to the ceiling… but fuck… these Glen Taylor rants by KG are a really close consolation prize, right?

Taylor seems nice enough for a billionaire. He seems open and honest when he gives interviews and he legitimately cares about the health of the Timberwolves franchise. He may not be good at maintaining it and he has made absolutely catastrophic decisions as its owner… but he care, nonetheless.

Garnett throws all of that out the window with this interview, saying that everything coming out of Taylor’s mouth is trash. The snake quotes at the end, show the hatred KG has for the Timberwolves Owner (and his old boss). The biggest excuse I have given Taylor, is that he’s just a rich guy who doesn’t know enough about running an NBA franchise… but his picture has been brushed over with tones that are much darker, recently.

Sure, KG has this rant and a couple of others… but let’s not forget about Kevin McHale suing Taylor, claiming Glen fucked him and a bunch of others over in business dealings.

Look, nobody who has made money like GT throughout their life, is free of enemies… but these are two people who, at one point, were as close to Glen as anyone. It’s not a good look, at the least.

Before we kick Taylor out of town though… let’s just remember: The biggest reason why he still owns the Timberwolves, is because he can’t find a buyer that will keep them in Minnesota for the long haul. If for nothing else, I appreciate Glen for that.
