I will have a full preview up today, sometime. This should be an interesting game. The Gophers are reeling after two straight losses to start the B1G season. Michigan State is coming out of a huge victory against in-state rival, Michigan. But the game is at TCF Bank and there are some that aren’t convinced Michigan State is for real.
The Gophers are underdogs and rightly so. But, can they come out with a surprise win against a confident Michigan State team? We will see. Here is some stuff to read until I write my full preview in the morning.

Wild Game Notes vs Blue Jackets:
Who: Minnesota Wild (1-1-1) vs Columbus Blue Jackets (2-1-0)
When: Saturday, October 14 – 7:00 PM
Where: Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul MN
So, there are some very interesting quotes coming out of Zach Parise before the Wild face the Blue Jackets on Saturday night. This one being the most interesting: (Star Tribune-Megan Ryan)
“The opening night is always a lot of fun. There’s a lot of excitement in the building, and it’s a really fun game to play in. So I’m hoping I’ll be there. If not, I’ll be watching. But it’ll be disappointing if it doesn’t happen.”
So we will keep an eye on Zach but it sure seems like he is getting very close to a return. Even if he doesn’t play tonight, let’s hope he doesn’t have any more set backs and we see him back in the lineup much sooner, rather than later.

Bleacher Report: NBA Top 100 Players:
Bleacher Report came out with a NBA Top 100 Players list. I reacted to it. Here are where all the Timberwolves (current & former) landed, my reaction to their spot, and the link to the full list.

Bradford, Diggs, Easton all Out Sunday vs Packers:
The injuries have officially piled up on the Vikings. They will be without a BUNCH of starters on Sunday vs the Packers. Diggs will be out with a groin injury. Nick Easton is out, Bradford is still out, and Dalvin Cook is obviously out for the season. But with a defense like the Vikings, combined with the crowd noise at US Bank Stadium, this matchup should at-least stay competitive.

Kawhi Leonard Likely Out vs. Wolves on Opener:
Here is some interesting news related to the Timberwolves and their opener next week. It looks like Kawhi Leonard is being ruled out for the game vs the Wolves on opening night. That will make things easier for the Wolves. I will take a win if this helps.
